About
I am a high school junior preparing for a future in medicine, with a Pre-Med focus and a lifelong commitment to service and the arts. For more than a decade I have trained, performed, and taught Georgian folk dance — an experience that taught me discipline, resilience, and how to lead by example.
Today I bring that same dedication into the clinic, the classroom, and my community. Whether I am translating for patients, tutoring younger students, or mentoring children at my dance academy, my goal is the same: to make people feel supported, understood, and capable of more than they thought possible.
Performing Arts
I have trained and competed in Georgian folk dance for eleven years as part of an award-winning ensemble.
I have performed in concerts across multiple states and countries and earned numerous awards across many different dances.
I lead classes, assist with rehearsals, and support younger dancers, traveling to Connecticut, New Jersey, and Upstate New York.
Georgian Folk Dance — Performer & Instructor
Theater & Cultural Representation
Dancing Crane Theater Company (2023 – 2026) — I perform major roles and have developed my public speaking and stage presence.
History-based productions — I take part in theatrical performances built on the history of Georgia.
International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC) (Freshman Year) — I was selected for a two-week international cultural exchange, represented Georgia through dance, and received a participation award.
Healthcare & Clinical Service
Medical Clinic Volunteer
December 2024 – Present
I volunteer at both an internal medicine and a pediatric clinic.
I assist with patient translation, basic patient-intake tasks, and front-desk operations.
I organize medical materials and help keep the clinic running smoothly.
Teaching & Mentorship
Peer Leadership
Middle School
As a member of the Peer Leader Association, I mentored a sixth-grade class through weekly lessons on personal development.
I prepared activities and presentations each week.
I was named Outstanding Peer Leader of the Year and received a special graduation honor for service to the school community.
Tutoring
2024 – Present
I tutor elementary students after school at PS 152.
I provide ongoing academic and language support (English, Georgian, Math, Science, homework) to younger students at my dance academy.
I help students overcome the language barrier and answer any question they have.
Skills & Interests
I speak English and Georgian [, additional language(s)], and I am comfortable bridging language gaps for both patients and students. My strengths include teaching and tutoring, mentoring, public speaking, patient intake and translation, organization, and dance instruction and choreography.
Outside of school, I am passionate about Georgian folk dance, theater and the performing arts, medicine and healthcare, and cross-cultural exchange.
